Bromadiolone (second-generation anticoagulant) inhibits Vitamin K epoxide reductase enzyme, preventing the synthesis of clotting factors. A single feeding is sufficient for lethal effect — rodents die within 4–7 days of ingestion from internal haemorrhage.
