At Kisanio, we strive to ensure that every farmer and rural entrepreneur receives products that meet the highest standards of quality and performance. Because our marketplace involves diverse agricultural goods—ranging from living seeds to heavy machinery—our return policy is designed to be fair, transparent, and compliant with Indian consumer protection standards.
General Merchandise & Tools: Return requests must be initiated within 7 days of delivery.
Agri-Inputs (Seeds, Fertilizers, Pesticides): Due to the sensitive nature of these products, returns must be initiated within 48 hours of delivery.
Machinery & Electronics: Return requests must be made within 10 days, provided the item has not been fueled or used in the field.
An item is eligible for return only if it meets one of the following conditions:
Physical Damage: The product was received in a damaged condition.
Defective/Non-Functional: The product (e.g., a sprayer or pump) does not work upon arrival.
Incorrect Item: The product delivered is different from what was ordered (wrong brand, quantity, or specification).
Quality Issues: Seeds or inputs that are found to be past their expiry date at the time of delivery.
To ensure your return is accepted, please maintain the following:
Original Packaging: The item must be in its original, unopened packaging (for inputs) or original box with all manuals and accessories (for machinery).
Unused Status: Products must not show signs of use, alteration, or tampering.
Proof of Purchase: A valid invoice or order ID from the Kisanio app is mandatory.
Certain products are exempt from returns due to safety and hygiene reasons:
Pesticide or fertilizer containers with a broken seal.
Living plants or highly perishable organic products.
Customized or made-to-order agricultural equipment.
Items marked as "Non-Returnable" on the product detail page.
Submit Request: Open the Kisanio App, go to "My Orders," and select "Return Item."
Upload Evidence: Attach clear photos or a short video of the defect or damage.
Pickup: Once the vendor approves the request, a logistics partner will be assigned to pick up the item from your location at no additional cost for valid defects.
Inspection: The vendor will inspect the returned item to ensure it meets the return conditions.
Upon a successful inspection, you can choose:
Replacement: A fresh unit of the same product will be dispatched to you.
Exchange: You may opt for a different product of equivalent value (subject to price adjustment).
Refund: If a replacement is unavailable, a full refund will be processed as per our Refund Policy.
Farmer Tip: We strongly recommend recording an "unboxing video" when receiving high-value equipment or bulk inputs. This serves as vital evidence to speed up your return approval.
